How many people do we need?
The Wine Room takes 10 to 25 guests and the Fitzroy Room takes 20 to 50. For 20 to 25 either room works, so pick the vibe you're after.
How do drinks work?
Two options. Set up a bar tab with a limit you choose and we'll let you know when it's getting close, or everyone pays as they go. You can also start with a tab and switch to pay as you go once it runs out.
Our full cocktail, wine, beer and non-alcoholic list is available. BYO isn't permitted.
How does the shared main work?
One main is shared between every two guests. You choose the included main for the table when we touch base about a week out.
Want something extra? Swap in as many upgrade plates as you like. Each one serves two, replaces one included main, and is charged per plate, so a table of 16 could have two wagyu and two lamb with the rest on porchetta.
Can you cater for dietaries?
Yes. Note every dietary and allergy in your booking and we'll confirm them with you a week out. The kitchen adjusts dishes so everyone gets a full four courses.
How long do we have the room?
There's no seating time limit, the room is yours for the night. Last food orders are at 9pm and the venue closes at 11pm.
Can we bring a cake?
Absolutely. Cakeage is $5 per person and we'll serve it for you. Leftover cake and food can be packed to take home.
Can we decorate, play music or do a presentation?
Style the room however you like, as long as it's left the way you found it. Each room has Sonos speakers you can connect your phone to. There's no screen or TV in house, but you're welcome to bring your own screen or projector.
What's the deposit and cancellation policy?
A $200 deposit is taken when you book and comes off your final bill. Cancel with more than 14 days' notice and it's refunded in full. Inside 14 days the deposit is non-refundable.
Final numbers are confirmed when we touch base. Any reduction within 48 hours of your booking is charged at the full per-person price.
Is it accessible?
The Wine Room is on the ground floor with one step at the entrance. The Fitzroy Room is upstairs and has no lift, so it isn't wheelchair accessible. There's an accessible toilet on the ground floor.
Are kids welcome?
Yes. We have high chairs and a kids menu. Just include the little ones in your booking notes.
Is there a surcharge?
Only on public holidays, when a 15% surcharge applies. There's no surcharge on any other Tuesday or Wednesday.
The date I want isn't showing. Can you fit us in?
If a date isn't in the booking window, both rooms are taken that night. Dates reopen when a booking cancels, so it's worth checking back. This offer runs Tuesday and Wednesday only.
Where are you and how do we get there?
402 Brunswick Street, Fitzroy. The number 11 tram stops out the front, and there's street parking plus a paid car park nearby.
